Morning Drive Back, Long Island
I thought, for a moment, to make sure everyone had used the restroom before getting under way. I had just finished my final before-the-trip bathroom run and I figured I ought to make sure no one forgot to do the same. But I reconsidered that this stirring of dormant fatherly guidance would be a redundant gesture, no one at our age needs to be reminded. Besides, the boy had diapers on.
Somewhere near JFK we pulled over at a Dunkin Donuts.

neither fatherhood nor age are a factor here. reminders are useful when one knows what should be done.
such hilariously sad faces
I was struck by how beautiful they all look. There is something magical about the morning face. A kind of blur that's magical. Pensive morning thoughts.
robbie really looks like tito ortiz in that one.
