Steven and William make the kind of art that takes months to create. Whole landscapes, small little worlds made of beads. I don't know what it is about beading, but every time I see one of the Ladd brothers they are smiling.
Newsman signoffs have always been funny to me. Jim Lehrer says "Thank you and good night" nearly every evening and the announcer on the Marketplace Morning Report repeats "make it a good day" every morning. This doesn't just happen in the news, the guy who makes my espresso at the Verb always admonishes "Be good!" when I walk out the door.
But my favorite comes from Steven. When we leave him he chirps "Love and luck, do what it takes."

that's a great sign-off. i'm coming up with one of my own as soon as possible.
In the radio days orson welles would say "I remain, as always, obediently yours."
Oh man, The Widge. We used to have one, remember?
"So long"

my mom always says "ok, mmmhmm, bye bye" when she gets off the phone. my friends and i made a dance around it when we were little.
