New York offers a surprising amount of small town amenities. Michael is one of them.
I see Michael all the time. Whether its bumping into him on the street in Brooklyn where he is engaged in some serious conversation on the sidewalk or at a summer party in Long Island where he's pouring drinks and joking around or at a Downtown event where he is manning the turntables, like one of those little, nubbly round French mileposts he is some sort of consistent marker of where I am at.
