Todd, this should be the first in a series of daily domestic haikus. It's got that contrast thing going on, and you can really hear you gulping down water, only because Marina told you to shut the fuck up. A good little package of words, images, sounds. "This morning at 4am I awoke..." The word 'awoke' makes it too somehow.
This morning around 4 AM I awoke and gulped down four glasses of water. I was parched.
