2 Gloves 2 Weeks, Brooklyn

To be a good judge of character entails being able to act upon the judgment. You can't say you called it when it slipped past anyhow. This is all bound up with agendas of course. You have an agenda, you judge a character for that agenda and then you need to be cut-throat when the goal is achieved as that douchebag who served you so well for a while no longer serves the purpose and you can't figure out another use. This is where most falter. They reckon that use is use again, and maybe it is, but maybe it isn't. In the mean time you're stuck with bullshit. We are all on every end of this. All terrorized by this scenario. Many people spend their lives trying to sit in a pocket, surrounding themselves with the safety of the perceived unconditional. Others spend all there time right at the front of the deal, making sure they are the judge, making sure they are safe in perceived control. There is no way out of it, once you've accepted it. There is no way out of it even if you don't accept it. Unless you find a way out. Then, well, then you're out. Maybe.

reminds me a guy who goes to the priest and says "you see I have this friend who raped a goat . . . "

those glove photos are pretty gross. I just spent an hour scooping sludge from my curbside with a spade, which is not the right tool.

I just re-read this one, years later... and I don't understand a goddamn word of it.
