Last week Bear Stearns went under and was retrieved from the deep all in one seemingly faultless motion. The "Recession" is a euphemism of sorts the way a "populist" American politician is a canard. But thinking back to the last time I witnessed a run on a bank, I figure we repeat the same inspired action to correct the situation as those brave souls previously contrived. Go fly a kite.
Boston. Capital of Red Sox Nation. Snow soaked and cold. 2007.

A giant 500 year old redwood falls in the forest, dead from the roots up. Someone comes, puts a nice enough looking scaffolding around it, props it back up. "Oh yes," they explain, "it is very much alive. Look how it towers over you."
I can't believe you were in town last year & didn't visit us. I am offended. That photo is very Boston.
