A Different Kind of Polaroid. Luke Temple ca. 2004
I first met Luke while he was playing country music on the Bedford L subway platform. Maybe before the Bedford L subway platform was so crowded. Luke turned out to be one of those people you meet that seems to know all the people you know without ever having met you yourself. As it is with that kind of person, things just seemed to fall in place. Later, he would live next door to us for a year before moving to Seattle to record some albums. He is back now, living somewhere in the neighborhood, playing the thoughtful music he has always been thoughtfully exploring. I have taken a number of photographs of Luke over the years, all meant to hasten the inevitable musical fame we all think he merits. Knowing my working habits, I probably haven't developed them yet.
By the by, I have a new archive of photos up at the Ok Oh dot com. It is buried in there somewhere.

That reminds me. We were almost your neighbors.
I think at some point I have nearly convinced half my friends to be my neighbor. And I have a pretty good success rate. It just begs the question as to why that place was always vacant.
