Taco Joint, Carlsbad California

One of the things I miss most about California is the quality Mexican food. It just doesn't happen on the East Coast. I will say that without fear of reprisal, so sure that I am absolutely correct. The Mexican food here that is passable, can be good tasting, but it is not the taste I want.
Ian, Kris and I used to stop at Beach Liquor in Carp on our way down to fun Summer sessions at Santa Claus Lane and on the way back from Winter sessions at Rincon. For a while that was a great little secret burrito spot. I don't know if it still is.
My friend T.J. and I were talking the other day about how mentally, our investment in surfing is deep, but physically our investment is laughably shallow. We think about it so much, but our time spent doing it can't compete. Thats probably how it always is and was, with the exception that we really haven't been surfing much lately, and when we do, our youthful bravado has lost a lot of its basic training.

I kind of agree with you. I just logged on to make a blog posting, saw this photo then decided I ought to leave it up for a bit longer.
