Inspired by MLusk of Weather Records

These days, one bad piece of news can throw me off the scent.  Things seem to have so much weight.  This tells me my perspective has shifted from that of a young person to that of someone in middle age.  I don't think this is inescapable.  Nor do I think one can go back.  There is a sense that one must go from the youthful mantra of try, try, try until you get it to something more nuanced, something more appreciative:  try, keep trying, when trying doesn't work, stop trying. This can be a very positive and confident adjustment.
