I am convinced that our biggest problem , as humans, as members of a society, partakers of a culture, is our insistence on conjuring out of thin mental air, the opinions we are sure the people around us hold about us. That is a poorly constructed sentence. What I mean to say is, we are sure we know what other people think of us and that is the root of our problem. Granted, not a groundbreaking concept. But when I consider how often I forget that fact, and the resulting ramifications, it's a little absurd.
