Small Town Brooklyn

I wonder whether I'd be a good painter. The Widge is a good painter, it comes so spectacularly natural to him. Primo is a great painter as he has the particular way of rendering things out, Primo style. The only thing I think I'd have on my side is watered down pigments. Real light application, almost like water color. And I think I'd be really good at knowing when to stop. Early. I mean I'd wrap it up pretty soon on nearly every painting. No need in going on and on about it, yep this one is definitely done. That sort of thing. This summer I had plans to do three things: surf more than last summer, paint a few pictures and start the writing of a book. I have done exactly one of those things. Oh, and take advantage of family time. So that's two out of four. Not bad. Oh yeah, and remember when Jack used to paint those big pixelated wall hangings of Mao and Che? Man, those were great.

One time Anna gave me this rad painting of an avocado. A real Santa Barbara masterpiece. It got lost during a move in San Francisco. That was a great painting. She really knows her organic still lifes.
