Playground Lines, Brooklyn

This morning I remembered what it felt like to go to a job, shut down a little and wait for the clock to expire. Nothing riding on what I was doing, no point other than to spend some time close enough to home to make some money. At some point I craved more responsibility, more importance and a deal was struck there. That's a deal I might strike again the other way if I had half the chance. Of course, I might not.
