Of all the charges leveled at New York, the most often heard upon recent arrival from the West Coast is a moaning lament at the lack of good Mexican food. You may have heard it here before. At least a few times. But those times are changing. Bonita is a massive step up. La Superior is another huge step. And while there are pretenders who show up as well (La Esquina, the Hipster Bedford Taco Truck to name a couple offenders) it all really comes down to the best Mexican food in town: The Kitchen of Ms. Donna Maria.
