Rob Fischer, Christmas Tree, Big Painting, Tin Ceiling.

Rob is living the life of a New York artist to the hilt. He has cornered a beautiful painter wife, produced a hilariously cute little artist's daughter and crafts these visual scenarios the are surprisingly and mysteriously satisfying.
As is the case with most gallery art I see, Mr. Fischer's name flitted through my skull with nary a notice at each viewing. It was not until later when Kanae was telling me about this friend of hers that I started to put the pieces together.
"Oh, he did that? Huh."
"And that?"
"He did those too?"
All of a sudden Rob's work held this esteemed place of regard in my internal art magazine. All of a sudden there I am drinking wine with him watching our children crack each other up. Life is funny that way.

I saw some of his work at P.S.1 a couple of years ago. You're friends with that guy?
