Emily's Polaroid

The memorial for Emily was at the gallery she and Walker recently opened. People read poems and memories and there was hot apple cider and one of those hobo oil drum fires outside for people to warm their hands. Everyone had a candle and big group photos were taken. It was a suitably friendly memorial for an artist.
A gift exchange was planned. Everyone brought gifts and took gifts by placing and picking anonymously out of a pile. Mark brought an old fold-up knife he had used to cut cheese and meat during a particularly pleasant hike in Alps. He received a pin cushion. I exchanged today's Polaroid for a bit of red felt.
