Winter on Deck

Winter in New York means you don't see the people you want to. Strolling down the street, head held high looking for neighbors becomes less of a pass time and more of a health hazard. The concrete, soft under flip flop, is hard under boot. Friends are away, sick, inside watching movies. The bicycle locked out front might have that flat tire for the next four months. It is not a lean time like they say though. No, now we get to pack it away and hide it under our sweaters. It isn't all bad.

An old Kanae fur cap. I was wearing it for the New Years celebration at our apartment the year the heat and hot water went out.

This friend is not sick inside, but rather sick on the inside and battling the elements in South Beach. No diets, but plenty of green. I'll be back in the trench with you in a week's time. And also tomorrow night perhaps.
