i like that. yesterday i had a funny train experience. with the exception of the time a woman crouched and peed in the train car i was riding in, yesterday's ride was my most entertaining. first thing happens when i get on, a young woman, austrian-looking, was singing folk songs, austrian maybe, from a book, loudly so the whole train could hear. then, a guy nearby starts brushing his teeth. then, a young couple, otherwise normal looking, start an argument. they're becoming belligerent, but they don't seem drunk or high or anything. she's yelling at him, calling him a loser. why did she marry him? three years and still no diamond, she announces to the rest of us. he tells her to shut up. they're in each other's faces, threatening. they're yelling at the top of their lungs. i'm getting ready to intervene. this is going on from 50th street well into lower manhattan. a guy is videotaping with his cell phone. meanwhile, the tooth brushing guy is holding his open arms out to them, gesturing as if to say, wow, this is amazing.
To this day I still love looking out the front window. It's like watching a movie and being in a movie at the same time. I also love those cool refractions of the lights in the tunnel.
