New York Ambulence

This morning as I rode across the Williamsburg Bridge to work, there was a Hasidic ambulence below me trying to get through traffic. It had the sirens going and on the loud speaker it was saying "Please move to the right lane, Thank you."
I thought the please and thank you were a nice touch.
No one moved for the ambulence though and I actually beat it across the bridge.

My bicycle is a diminutive blue Schwinn Hollywood we've named "Rock Hudson."
It has 24" tires. They are pretty small.

you know how you live in new york and at first the sirens, ambulances, voices keep you up at night? then one day they become that soothing ocean sound and you wonder how you ever fell asleep without it. yeah, i miss that.
